Carl F. Bucherer Expands Its Manero Collection, Including the new Manero Urban

The Manero is a pillar of the Carl F. Bucherer collections. This higher-end, contemporary line with elegant details showcases some of the brand’s best complications and some of its most striking movements, in particular those with the peripheral technology. The brand just released several new models for the Manero Flyback, Manero Peripheral and a new sub-collection, the Manero Urban.

The CFB Manero Urban

Starting with the new Manero Urban, this new sub-collection embodies a fresh aesthetic look to be rolled out over the entire Manero family. The modern, deliberately clean design stands out with a sunray-brushed dial with a striped opaline finish lending the watch an eye-catching three-dimensional feel. The angled indices are paired with squared-off hands filled with luminescent material. 

Inside the 38mm steel case ticks the CFB 1950 automatic movement. Based on the tried-and-tested ETA 2824-2 architecture, it runs at 4Hz and has a 38-hour power reserve. Four colour options are available in muted natural tones: blue, black, mocca and sand. Different straps are available, including a Tide textile strap, vegan leather straps or a steel bracelet. The price is set at CHF 3,950 on the strap and CHF 4,350 on the metal bracelet.

The CFB Manero Flyback

One of the brand’s best-selling models, the Manero Flyback is a cool retro-style chronograph available in either 43mm or 40mm diameters. The 40mm size is now offered in a sleek monochromatic version whose grey bi-compax dial features a sunray finish matching the stainless steel case. The tachymeter scale at the periphery of the dial brings a sporty touch. The watch is powered by the automatic CFB 1973 calibre. This column-wheel, integrated flyback chronograph is made with AMT. It runs at 4Hz and its power reserve is of 56 hours.

Also new for this year, the 43mm version of this chronograph comes in various editions in 18k rose gold with a silver or blue dial, as well as steel models with a silver, black or blue-grey dial with new textile straps. All versions are equipped with an easy-change system.

The watch’s grey vegan textile strap is secured to the wrist by a pin-lock folding clasp released by double pushers. There is also a nine-link steel bracelet option. The price for the watch with a strap is CHF 6,950 and CHF 7,500 with a bracelet.

The CFB Manero Peripheral

The Manero Peripheral is the watch that best represents Carl F. Bucherer. While they remain a rare breed, peripheral rotors are very much in vogue today. If the concept was first ideated in the 1950s, Carl F. Bucherer was the first brand to bring it to serial production in the 2000s and to create strong interest in this smart technical solution. The Manero Peripheral has been in the Carl F. Bucherer collection since 2016, and it now adopts the new aesthetic approach heralded by the Manero Urban, in particular its stamped, striped opaline dial. 

The watch is powered by the in-house automatic CFB A2050 calibre, which has a 4Hz frequency and a 55-hour power reserve. Its precision is COSC certified. It comes on a hybrid rubber strap or a 3-link steel bracelet. The price is CHF 7,500 on a strap and CHF 7,900 on a metal bracelet.
